Word is God

I was walking from a day of work on the mount road with a little bit of energy when a Guy approached me.

First things First: I had to inform you that I had some form of a look which attracted all kinds of weirdoes to me. I must try out a rock start Hair Long hair style next time.

He looked decent and he said that he needed a minimal amount for him to travel back to his home as he had lost his purse that day. He asked 100 rupees from me, in a much decent manner and promised me that he would recharge my mobile phone with the amount once he gets to his place. I did not ask him to pay me back. I would have gladly given him the money away considering his genuine problem.  (A false impression isn’t it? Would I have believed it if a guy in shabby clothes had asked me the same? So much for Genuineness).  But he gave me his word and I took it. I gave him the money, gave him a dummy mobile number which I rarely used, for him to recharge.

I actually believed him. Damn me. There was one part of me which was cynical, but I wanted to believe him.

Days passed and the balance in the number continued to remain rupees 14. I became a complete idiot every time I curiously checked my balance. Then I had to come to the conclusion.

He didn’t keep up his word.

Word!

In the Movie Lethal Weapon, I first saw the word, “word”, used for the first time in a conversation in the memory bank of my English literature. (It was in a conversation between a father and a son).

A friend once asked me to get Idli for him when we made a trip together. He was sick and hence couldn’t consume anything else. For people who are unaware, Idli is a south Indian Dish which is simply steamed Rice Cake.

When he entered the train, there was a package of Hot Idli with Chutney and Sambhar waiting for him in his berth.  I gave him my word and the Idli was the wonderful creation sitting in his berth :D
My word has come true! I had created something.

Now before you hit me with a rotten tomato, I accept that was the dumbest incident of creation you must have ever heard. We all become gods if we just keep our words. You get my point don’t you?

Wow. I didn’t think it would be that easy!

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." John 1:1-5

Now, I wonder why my Facebook Page says am an Atheist.

you should have read "many lives many masters " by Brian I weiss at least once.

Its one of the most authentic works in modern psychiatry in the context of "modern science". Masters do prefer the long perfected ancient science ........... but novelty is a welcome change.
