The jamesbondian lifestyle

It's been a while, since I've been active in here. Today, I am all in for a quick question. What comes to your mind when you think of James bond? Wait. Don't answer. Just imagine him. The way he moves, the mannerisms, the vocabulary, the body language. Now answer my question. What comes to your mind? Cuddly women. Costly cars. Champagne. Rolex. Tuxedo Martini Luxury Lifestyle. James bond is one of the perfect identity for a role model considering a lifestyle choice. But what exactly is his lifestyle? Driving 10 second cars? Sleeping with as much women as possible? Amongst the seriously distracting by-products of his lifestyle, it is very hard to determine the core of his lifestyle choices. But I find that he has two specific lifestyle philosophies which get him the jamesbondian life. Choice #1 He is sophisticated. The scene on casino royale, where he orders up a very specific method o...

Know thyself – Prove to thyself

If is often advised to shout “fire”, in case of trouble than to shout, “help”. Why? Cause People are narcissists. We are all selfish jerks to some degree. Fire would make more people come to help you than the word, “help”. People help themselves. Wait a minute, I forgot something. Let's rewind... Movie characters! I honestly say that I envy them. They have their own background music, special effects, songs which are carefully written to suit the moment they portray in the movies. No wonder they are called celebrities. These movie characters come in various sizes, shapes and sexual orientations, but I have always been curious of the silent ones; (you'll know if you've read my previous posts) Stallone in Rambo, Statham in Transporter, Craig in Casino Royale, Diesel in fast and furious. What makes them so sure of themselves? What gives them the confidence at such effortless ease? What makes what they are? I see them walking and t...

How much does your life weigh? - A 10 second car and reducing baggage from Up in the Air

Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) makes the following speech in front of an audience. By the way this is from the movie, Up in the air. “ How much does your life weigh?” , he says as the crowd retains the staggering silence. “ Imagine for a second that you're carrying a backpack. I want you to feel the straps on your shoulders. Feel 'em? * pauses * Now I want you to pack it with all the stuff that you have in your life. You start with the little things, the things on shelves and in drawers the knick-knacks, the collectibles. Feel the weight as that adds up. Then you start adding larger stuff - clothes, table-top appliances, lamps, linens...your TV... The backpack should be getting pretty heavy now. And you go bigger. Your couch, bed, your kitchen table. Stuff it all in there. Your car, get it in there. Your home, whether it's a studio apartment or a two bedroom house. I want you to stuff it all into that backpack. Now try to walk. *laughs f...

Response ability - On being a Man - A father's day tribute

One of the duties that every man has to go through in his life is Responsibility; Being responsible for his own shit, for his girl friend, for his kids, for his family, and for his own god damned life. He got to be strong for a lot of people. It is very important for me to say that some English words have gotten skewed and twisted and sometimes they begin to mean something different from what they were originally intended to do. Responsibility which once meant "response ability", the ability to handle shit and take care of it no matter whatever be it, with courage; has changed to "responsibility" as in when it can be used as a excuse to blame a person (A) and relieve another person (B) of(f) all the dirt. A boy while growing learns "response ability" from the men around him. This can be his uncle or Father or any strong male role model, and sometimes for the lack of men, a woman. The young age is where a solid foundation can be put for him f...

The process and cycle of Change in the world and how to change for good!

I was thinking about how buildings were imploded. It's a process in which buildings are brought to the ground with explosives. They charge the building with ammo after identifying all the correct spots and on one fine day they blow the trigger. The entire building comes down. Just like that. A second ago there was a building, and a second later there it is no more. It occurred to me that change never happens gradually, it only happens instantaneously, contrary to popular belief. You might argue that they have been charging and inspecting the building for an entire week before it was blown, and that should be counted too. But I'll argue back with the possibility that that was only the process of change and not change itself. After a week, if they didn’t blow the trigger, the building would still be there, intact. Consider the orbitals in an atom. The electron jumps from one orbital state to another. But how does the electron jump from one orbital to another?...

Best Dialogues from V for Vendetta and their meanings and Quotations

“Creedy : Die! Die! Why won't you die?... Why won't you die? V : Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.” V for Vendetta is one of my favourite movies and I thought I’d put up a collection of good quotes from it. The Quotes are taken from IMDB Memorable Quotes, thanks to IMDB. The glory of an Idea! Evey Hammond : [ voiceover ] Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot. But what of the man? I know his name was Guy Fawkes and I know, in 1605, he attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. But who was he really? What was he like? We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed first-hand the power of ideas, I've seen people kill in the n...

Movies that Ground you to Reality – Watch these whenever you are in Confusion.

Fight Club Should I say anything more about this Movie? The Terminal I have never seen a Human being act so original and fresh with raw emotion like Tom Hank’s Character ( Viktor Navorski ) in the movie. Stranded on an airport with unfriendly people around; his country no longer existing; he works the environment with his human nature and skills and becomes the hero of the Airport from almost nothing. His child like Character and the Deep Integrity makes this movie a feel good Watch. I watch this movie when I feel out of Sync with myself. Office Space A series of Events on the life of a dull, bored to death employee; which takes a twist as he visits a hypnotherapist and sees him die! By the Way Jennifer Aniston looks really amazing in this Movie. I can sit all day long and adore her acting.   “It's not just about me and my dream of doing nothing. It's about all of us. I don't know what happened to me at that hypnotherapist and, I don't k...

Movies which everyone should watch before they are 23 years old

#1 Fight Club Quantity: 50 and regular doses whenever needed Go watch this movie 50 times at a stretch. If that isn’t enough go ahead and Watch this movie when you feel overwhelmed by social dogma shit. Edward Norton and Brad Pitt are in their best form ever. I prefer the movie over the book because it’s fast and very visualizing. Don’t forget to listen to the fight club sound track by the Dust Brothers; Very creepy and sexy. You’ll find sound track named like Medulla Oblongata, Psycho boy jack etc. #2 Breakfast Club Do you miss those happy school days of yours? Or was it extremely boring like mine? Whatever the case you’ll love this movie. How kids feel about their parents and try to come out of the social bounds; Very well written and directed. #3 Vick Christina Barcelona Not that Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson are Drop Dead Gorgeous (and you can see them kissing each other too); it’s a very good Woody Allen movie! Now that’s worth a try isn’t it? ...
